INOV-ART ATTRACTS RECORD NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS
The second edition of the INOV-Art Programme attracted an unprecedented number
of applications, in excess of three thousand. In this current edition, INOV-Art
is awarding 220 professional internship scholarships in 26 countries in five
continents.
The number of vacancies allocated to each disciplinary field was calculated in
proportion to the number of eligible applications received for each field, and
the distribution was as follows: Architecture and Urbanism (39), Performing Arts
(14), Visual Arts (23), Cinema and Audiovisual (36), Arts Interdisciplinary
Projects (10), Design (64), Writing and Editing (5), Management of Creative
Industries and Cultural Marketing (15), Heritage (7) and Education Services (7).
Applications were ranked based on the points obtained by applicants in the
pre-selection process. After evaluating the placement organizations, the
profiles of the applicants with the highest scores were matched to the
characteristics of the available vacancies. Of the 705 placement organizations
applying to the 2nd edition of INOV-Art, 379 were deemed suitable for the
objectives of the Programme, following their evaluation by experts in the
corresponding disciplinary fields.
After the pre-selection process was concluded, 500 applications, from a total of
3169 individual applications received, were chosen as having unquestionable
quality. The applications were subsequently graded according to the scores
obtained in the three stages of tests (language test, personal and social
competences test and interview in the applicable disciplinary field), and it was
this ranking that enabled the awarding of the scholarships.
According to results, between May 2010 and March 2011, interns with ages ranging
from 18 to 35 years will carry out their professional internships in placement
organizations located in 26 countries over the five continents.
